Meaning of the Symbol of Communist

I write this article becuase i found many news, facebook group and thread in the forum which talking about " the return of PKI " in indonesia. Because of curious i am searching all information about PKI. I found many source and interesting fact which i still did not know.

HAMMER & SICKLE

This sacred symbol made people scare and fear to look and hear it. Remembered of history in indonesia about " PKI " 50 years ago.

I remembered my friend said " Hey ... do not bring that pictures, they will kill you "

Very unique rumor in the past. Even there are some people said that Hammer is the symbol of Cruelty, Violence. And Red color is like " The Power and Blodshed " .

Scary huh ?

Hammer and Sickle which become the symbol of communist had history which not relevant with communism. The symbol of Hammer represents about " The Labor " and The symbol of Sickle represents about " The Farmers " .

After Industrial Revolution in Europe, Labors and Farmers become more alienated and oppressed. The symbol of Hammer and Sickle which crosses appear as people as a form of united of labor and farmers in Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 at Russia. In the next years, the symbol of hammer and sickle known as " The symbol of Rebellion " till now.

Revolution of the workers who belong to the lower classes are invited attention of the world. Those who underestimate the workers did not think the power possessed by the union of the workers and peasants.
